Who we are

Safer Foundations was established to address the gaps in systems and processes that too often fail to prioritise safety. Having worked in the safeguarding sector for over a decade, our team’s experience is rooted in a deep understanding of both the dangers faced by refugees and the challenges encountered by those working to protect them.

With a mission to strengthen case advocacy pathways for people at risk and to raise awareness of the systemic and structural violence experienced by refugees, Safer Foundations develops and delivers practical, sustainable solutions that embed safeguarding at every level of practice.

We are committed to advocating for improved outcomes through an empowerment and strengths-based approach, while promoting greater cultural understanding and awareness of safeguarding across all sectors.

What we do

We provide accessible training, policy support, and strategic service development to strengthen safeguarding practice across the sector. Just some of the ways we help organisations include:

  • Bespoke Safeguarding training: In consultation with you, we will design a bespoke half or full day session to address your specific safeguarding needs.

  • Safeguarding on the frontline: Quarterly online sessions for practitioners across the sector.

  • Safeguarding Leads training: An online session for anyone who holds a lead role around safeguarding in their organisation. These sessions are run quarterly and are an excellent way to connect with peers across the sector.

  • Safeguarding legislation: A half day online or in person session that looks at a very practical approach to applying safeguarding legislation in your day to day work.
